Feature Release

Launched Data Presets

Context

Connecting a data source is one of the trickiest parts of Crossbeam and we've aimed to make it as easy as possible. We give recommendations for the security conscious and guardrails for those that still want to fully customize what comes in.

What's New

  • Required Sync Option For users that just want to get started but are worried about security we've added a quick option to just sync the fields we need (we also tell them what these fields are).

  • Recommended Sync Option For users less concerned with security and making choices we've added a quick option to sync a number of fields we recommend for maximum functionality (we also tell them what these fields are).

  • Custom Sync Option We still give users full control over their sync but we've introduced data presets, which allow them to quickly toggle on a collection of fields related to a use case or feature. They can still manually select and de-select fields regardless of what presets are selected.
